Google’s motto might be “Don’t be evil” but it looks like they’ve got a little catching up to do. Apple announced last week that repairing, for free, any Apple branded electronics damaged in the earthquake and ensuing tsunami in Japan, exluding iPod Classic, Nano, and Shuffle. (Being phased out maybe??)

The offer was posted on Apple Japan’s website, and applies to customers living in areas covered by the Ministry of Health’s Disaster Relief Act. (AKA don’t try getting the iPhone you dropped in the toilet repaired…It won’t work.) This offer is running until the last day of June, so if you happen to live in the area and your Apple stuff isn’t working, contact AppleCare ASAP! And if you don’t live in the area, maybe just take this is a lesson in good karma.
