As should be pretty obvious at this point, we’re always on the lookout for the next “big thing” in the mobile space. When the original Droid came out, it was definitely a “big thing,” and now we’re seeing some more details on the Droid 3, or the next phone in that hallowed line of Droids by Motorola. We told you about some of these specs before, but its definitely nice to see an actual device, as well as get some more info on it.

So what do we know that we didn’t already? Well, first of all, we know that this is not going to be an LTE device. While having 3G speeds instead of 4G is definitely a bit of a downer, the extra battery life that should come out of not having a first generation 4G chip in the phone will be nice. Additionally, we’ve found out that the Droid 3 will have an 8MP rear facing camera, which should be significantly better than those in the Droid lineup so far.
Additionally, it looks like the Droid 3 is going to be rocking a new version of Motorola’s Android skin Motoblur. While we’d prefer it had no skin at all, if an update can make it nicer to look at and better performing, its always welcome. To top things off, the Droid 3 is going to be web-top ready, meaning it can fit into a computer-like dock with screen and keyboard, just like Motorola’s Atrix can.
